Ultimately, the only way to find out if a particular brand of strings are the right fit for your instrument is to try them. However I think its helpful to know that the Obligato strings work in opposite to the Evah Pirazzi. The Obligato's work beautifully on an overly bright violin that needs extra warmth and mellowing of tone. Due to this particular characteristic of these strings, we don't recommend putting Obligato strings on violins who already possess a dark and mellow tone.
